Blake Nelson Memorial

Donation protected
It is with so much sorrow, hurt, and pain that on October 22, 2021, our family lost a joyful, loving, and caring man, Blake Nelson. He was only 35. Blake wore many hats in life, but his favorite and best of all was adoring daddy and husband. He leaves behind his beautiful wife and soul mate, Lindsey, and three babies: Kennedy (9), Henry (3) and Charlie (2), with another baby girl arriving February 2022. He cared for his family in unimaginable ways, a family man through and through. His kids were blessed to have a dad who took the time to play, teach them new skills and love them unconditionally. He was the sole provider for his family, working for Columbia Basin Railroad at the time of his death. The financial needs for his soon to be family of 5 will be many and great.

There is so much to be said about Blake. He was a devoted and beloved son to Phil and LaDonna, and a loyal brother to Deric and Darin. Blake was blessed with two wonderful sets of grandparents, Papa Kerm and “MomMom” LaRece Nelson, and Papa Don and “Mom Mom” Lucille Adams, who he honored through everything he did. A fun-loving uncle to his niece and nephews. He was part of a large tribe of aunts, uncles, and cousins who were raised like siblings. The loss we feel is great. His friends will tell you that he would give the shirt off his back, and be there in your time of need, all the while making you laugh until your belly hurt. An avid outdoorsman. His adventurous soul was happiest in the woods scouting for his next deer, elk or bird, or on a river finding his next big catch. Blake was a Wildland Firefighter for 14 years on the Naches Forest Service Crew 83, fighting fire in the area and around the U.S. He later took that talent and experience to the Naches Volunteer Fire Department, serving his local community.

As you can imagine, his absence will be felt in more ways that one. Our goal is to wrap his precious family in prayers and support, in as many ways as possible. In addition to GoFundMe,
there are three other ways to bless them financially or otherwise. They are listed below:

• Donations
• Meals
• Gift Cards

Venmo Lindsey directly: @Lindsey-Smith-249

Donations may also be sent to the funeral home directly:

Brookside Funeral Home & Crematory
Attn: Lindsey Nelson

Please continue praying for the entire family, and surround them with love during this extremely difficult time. A beautiful life has been taken too soon from this earth. Blake’s loss has left a hole in the lives and hearts of all that were blessed to call him a friend or family. Blake, you were an amazing man and we love you so much. Until we meet again <3 Rest in Peace and continue to watch over us.
