Blackwell Family Help Fund

Hello. We are Krista and Dallas Blackwell. We are married with 2 small children aged 9 months and 2 years.

Dallas was recently put out of work due to a non-work-related injury, namely, a giant cell tumor in his leg bone, and while they are holding his job for him while we get it fixed, they cannot offer him any other work. He is on limited mobility, as his bone is like a hollow egg shell due to the tumor, and could easily break or tear his muscle. 

We have been to temp agencies and have turned up nothing meeting the restrictions the Dr. gave to him. Disability could take up to 3 months to come in, and unemployment payments wouldn't even get us through a week, if we even qualify (we have applied). We were able to increase our food stamps, however, which is one plus.

His tumor will require surgery, which will be expensive. It is also expensive to prepare for and recover from, as we have no income in the meantime. I am not able to work due to his injury either, as he isn't able to chase the kids around. Daycare also costs an arm and a leg, so that can't happen. 

We need help with our monthly bills and medical costs while we go through this temporary hardship. Anything helps. We need these funds, well, yesterday, but we wanted to try all of our other options first. Whatever you can contribute will be used to support our family while we get Dallas's leg taken care of.
