Free Black Panther Screening

Dear friends and family,

I know that a lot of us would like to do more in our community and the issues that our youth face often feel like way too big of a task to take on alone. Regardless of our differences, we are still a community that should come together to share resources and ideas for a common good.

I, along with many others, understand the importance for young people of color to see themselves represented in a positive light. It is a matter of human dignity to connect with and know where you come from.


Black Panther is a super hero movie on the surface but it beautifully displays the pride and grace of black people. With that being said, I would like to rent a theater or provide a large number of tickets to kids who would not be able to see the movie otherwise. Please donate what you can and keep in mind that even the smallest contribution will make an impact.


$3,000 will cover the cost of a theater that seats 200 and we will be able to provide concessions. All proceeds will go directly to tickets or a viewing experience for children in the Minneapolis and South St. Paul area. If any additional funds are raised, then the money will go towards donating even more tickets.

If we have learned anything from our ancestors, it is to come together and educate our youth to ensure that they will have the tools to lead better lives than us. Thank you for your time and please feel free to share this with anyone that you think might be interested.
