<div><strong>Unsere Mission </strong>
</div>
<div>Wir sind? Latoja und Patiani, zwei Schwarze Psycholog*innen.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Wir wollen? Dazu beitragen, die Versorgungslücke im psychischen Gesundheitssystem zu verkleinern, die durch den Mangel an rassismuserfahrenen und diskriminierungssensiblen Behandler*innen entsteht.
</div>

<div>Wie? Wir werden beide im Laufe diesen Jahres unsere Approbationsausbildung zur Psychologischen Psychotherapeut*in in systemischer Therapie beginnen. Diese ist zwingend notwendig, um Psychotherapie im deutschen Gesundheitssystem über die Krankenkassen abrechnen zu können – etwas, das für (mehrfach) marginalisierte Hilfesuchende häufig entscheidend ist.

<li>Wir sind seit Jahren aktiv in der Forschung, im Aktivismus, ehrenamtlich und beruflich an der Schnittstelle von Rassismuskritik und Psychologie tätig.

<li>Uns liegt Macht- und Herrschaftskritik am Herzen. Wir sind überzeugt, dass eine gute psychische Gesundheitsversorgung immer auch die gesellschaftlichen Rahmenbedingungen und (krankmachenden) Kontexte berücksichtigen muss.

<div><strong>Die Herausforderung</strong>
</div>
<div>Die Ausbildung zur Psychologischen Psychotherapeut*in ist nicht nur mit einem hohen Maß an Verantwortung und einem intensiven Workload (inklusive Wochenendseminaren neben dem Klinikalltag) verbunden – sie ist auch mit erheblichen finanziellen Belastungen verknüpft. Eine Ausbildung kostet je nach Therapieschule und Institut 20.000 bis 60.000€ und dauert 3-5 Jahre. Oft können sich solche Ausbildungen nur jene leisten, die auf familiäre finanzielle Unterstützung zurückgreifen können.

<div>Deine Unterstützung! Unsere beiden Ausbildungen kosten zusammen 60.000€. Das klingt erst einmal nach sehr viel Geld, aber wenn z.B. 2.000 Leute je 30€ spenden, ist der Betrag schon erreicht.

<div>Who are we? We are Latoja and Patiani, two Black psychologists.
</div>
<div>What do we want? To help close the gap in mental health care caused by the lack of BIPoC therapists with expertise in discrimination-sensitive treatment.

<div>How? Both of us will begin our training as licensed psychological psychotherapists in systemic therapy this year. This qualification is essential for offering psychotherapy covered by public health insurance in Germany—something that is often crucial for (multiply) marginalized individuals seeking help.

<div><strong>The Challenge</strong>

<div>Training to become a licensed psychological psychotherapist comes with great responsibility, an intense workload (including weekend seminars alongside clinical work), and significant financial burdens. Depending on the institute and therapeutic approach, the training costs between €20,000 and €60,000 and takes three to five years to complete. Often, only those with access to family financial support can afford it.
