Black, queer activist in need of support

Donation protected
Hi there!

This is Mariah and she needs your help. Mariah is a Black queer woman and activist in need of financial support. Mariah, like many others, is now unemployed amidst the Covid-19 pandemic and does not qualify for unemployment. Though she currently has shelter, she needs funds to secure new housing (enough funds for a deposit, first month’s rent, and last month’s), funds to pay bills, and afford necessary and crucial medications for her health as she continues her efforts to find new employment.

Mariah recently relocated to Dallas from California and is still trying to recover from the funds that cross-country move drained.

Mariah is a caring person who goes out of her way to help others and if you know her, you know that she would bend over backward to help anyone—even strangers. I am asking you to help her, whether you know her, or if she is a stranger to you, in any way you can. Every penny will go towards alleviating Mariah’s financial stress and allowing her to focus on her health and finding housing and employment amidst the pandemic.

I've known Mariah since middle school and she is truly amazing. I'm fundraising on her behalf because it's my hope that this will alleviate some of her financial stress, which we all know can affect every aspect of our lives.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read about Mariah. Any and all donations will assist her greatly and she will be so grateful to meet any milestones in her goal amount! If you're unable to donate, please boost this so it can reach other who may be able to.
