Black Lace Relocation

"Black Lace is a small independent art gallery and performance space located in Olneyville, Providence RI. The mission of this space is to provide a platform for experimental artists and musicians with a focus on  actively diverse programming inclusive of BIPOC, LGBTQ and other marginalized communities."

Our landlord for the property that was known as the home of Black Lace has decided that entering a payment plan for back rent owed for the months of quarantine brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic is too much of a financial inconvenience to him and it would better suit him to have us vacate the property immediately.  Despite his eviction process being unlawful, I would like to look at this as an opportunity to possibly improve upon Black Lace by finding a new location that is even better suited to serve the Providence art and music community.

Just before the onset of COVID-19 Black Lace was awarded support from The Rhode Island State Council for the Arts for the purpose of exercising our mission of supporting experimental and underground music, art and performance by diverse artists from our community and beyond.  Please consider donating or sharing this fundraiser so that we can continue our mission and programming goals for 2020.
