Black Family Tragedy

Help these beautiful children and wife deal with this tragic loss!
We at Denver Research Institute are coping with the loss of an admired co-worker, leader and friend. But as much pain and confusion as many of us feel, it can't begin to touch on what is felt by the family he left behind.
Ed Black was our Executive Director and did an incredible job at it. But, he was also a co-leader in his home. I enjoyed many stories he told of his home life and we often discussed the trials of marriage and parenting. And I know he felt his wife was a miracle worker and the strongest in the land. But I also know they both held strong roles in the raising of their 4 beautiful children. His wife, DeAnn, was the organizer in the family - but he never missed a school appointment, boy scout event or chance to sing the praise of his kids. He was a proud and present father who loved and admired his wife to no end.
We can not, and should not, speculate on the events leading to such a tragedy. We can only know that there is more than one, and the main one is a sickness. A sickness he was unable to cure or cope with.
Unfortunately now his wife, who has stayed at home assuring their children were raised with good morals and values, is the one who will have to deal with the affects of such an illness.
This fund is set up not only as an homage and memorial to a man we respected, but more so to aide in what can only be expected to be an expensive and timely process. One that hopes to not only pull a young wife through becoming a widow too early, but also to pull through 4 kids after losing their father and family provider with as little damage as is possible.
I have befriended DeAnn and know she will do everything in her power to see these kids love and respect their dad and carry on forward to a productive, positive adulthood. But she can't do it alone. She needs our help. Please contribute any amount you can to help her with this long road ahead. It will NOT be squandered or neglected, I promise you.
