College Fund for the childern of Monica Avelar

Monica battled COVID19 for more than 3 weeks in the hospital with no way for family to visit her. The prayers and support that so many of you offered during this time were so powerful and moving. We let Sergio know every day that there was a small army of amazing people from around the world praying, wishing, and hoping for Monica’s recovery, and for that he was so deeply appreciative.
Sadly, Monica lost her battle to this wretched virus. She passed away on April 13th, just four weeks after celebrating her 38th birthday without ever seeing or hearing the voices of her husband or her children since the day she entered the emergency room on March 26th.
As you can only imagine Sergio and his children are heartbroken and devastated.. and so are we. My team and I have had the fortunate pleasure to have worked with Sergio a lot over the last 5 years, and anyone who knows him knows that besides being an extremely hard working and incredibly talented carpenter, he is as selfless, giving, and humble as a person can be.
As a gesture of hope and in loving support for Sergio and his daughter Diana 11, and son Sergio Jr. 10 , who are going through such a devastating loss, Yoshi and I have started a small GoFundMe campaign to put towards college savings for the kids, or any other pressing needs they may have. We know that Monica worked tirelessly to give her children a better life, and that them getting a good education was so important to her. We hope that this fund will help in some small way to give them the chances that Monica had wished for them.
Please feel free to pass this on as we don't really know everyone Sergio or Monica many have worked with, become friends with, and have had the same positive impact on their lives as they have on ours.
Donations can be listed as anonymous, but I plan to share the names of those who have participated with Sergio and his family. If you would like to remain anonymous throughout, please let me know.
