Dear Friends: As you all know I have been wearing thick glasses all of my life. It has defined who I am. Well after my retina detached in my right eye and I was no longer able to see in that eye, glaucoma became a dangerous issue for my left eye and the doctor told my on the Wednesday a week before Thanksgiving that my pressure was 51, the number should have been in the teens and that I would be totally blind by the next week. He had to do emergency surgery on Friday. I had the surgery and the complications which came along with it. I have one more surgery before I should be able to see again but that is in one month. In the meantime I have a film over my eye that is hampering my vision . I also have a bill that I was not prepared for. I am asking for help in covering this bill. After this is over I will still have to wear glasses but they should not be as thick as the ones I have worn all of my life. Thank you for helping out an old almost gone blind woman. Thank you!
