Samantha Heady's Chance at Life

Donation protected
On May 27, 2014, Brenden and Jenna Heady welcomed their first child, Samantha, to the world. Samantha was 3lbs 8ozs at birth but the family was confident that she would overcome her preemie beginning and grow up healthy. Unfortunately, this is going to be a challenge. Samantha was diagnosed with SCID (Severe Combined Immunodeficiency) - very similar to the "Boy in the Bubble" syndrome.

Samantha needs a bone marrow transplant. Doctors have stated that she will have an 85% chance of a complete cure with the transplant. Bone Marrow transplants are extremely costly, even with health insurance and to top it off...Brenden was laid off from his job last week.

They have not asked for this - they're trying to make it on their own but some obstacles are very difficult to overcome.

Thank you for helping this struggling family.
