<div><strong>-&gt; </strong>(English Version below).

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Unsere Mama. Unsere Ehefrau. Unsere Freundin. </strong>

</div>

<div><br />

</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/92190215_1751154270568863_r.jpeg" width="100%" />

<div><strong>Wie kommt es dazu?</strong>

</div>

</div>

</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/92190215_1751142207349313_r." width="100%" />

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/92190215_1751142244525698_r." width="100%" /><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/92190215_1751147813679647_r." width="100%" />

<div><br />

</div>

</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/92190215_1751147953629047_r." width="100%" /><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/92190215_1751148020940436_r." width="100%" />

<div><br />

</div>

</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/92190215_1751148069385268_r." width="100%" /><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/92190215_1751148100572454_r." width="100%" /><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/92190215_1751148867805665_r." width="100%" /><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/92190215_1751151141754864_r." width="100%" />

<div><br />

</div>

</div>

</div>

<div><br />

</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/92190215_1751146360871821_r." width="100%" /><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/92190215_1751149437266251_r." width="100%" />

<div><br />

</div>

</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/92190215_1751143961542726_r." width="100%" />

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><strong>Und jetzt? Was ist passiert?</strong>

</div>

Juni mitgeteilt:

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong></strong>Keine Übergangsfrist. Keine Lösung. Kein Mitgefühl. Keine Menschlichkeit. Kein Recht.
</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><strong>Was bedeutet das jetzt für uns?</strong>
</div>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/92190215_1751146302653598_r." width="100%" />

<div>Wir bitten euch daher von Herzen ❤️

</div>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

Jede Spende hilft. Jeder Euro zählt.

</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/92190215_1751142464906041_r." width="100%" />

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Eure Patricia, Thomas, Kristina, Niklas, Lea und Siem.

</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/92190215_175114640214375_r." width="100%" />

<div><br />

</div>

<div>------------------------------------------------------------------------------

</div>

<div>❤️ <strong>Please Help Us Keep Patricia Alive</strong>

</div>

<div>Our mom. Our wife. Our friend. Our beloved Patricia – she needs help. And she needs it urgently.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><strong>What happened?</strong>

</div>

<div>Four years ago, Patricia suffered from a severe brain hemorrhage. Since that day, nothing has been the same. She suddenly lost everything we take for granted: She can no longer speak, move, eat, or drink on her own.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>She spent months in intensive care, at times in a coma, partially paralyzed, constantly fighting for her life. For a long time, it was unclear whether she would survive – or ever wake up again.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>But she did. Patricia is alive. She is present. She feels. She responds. She fights – every single day. And we fight alongside her – as a family.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>After all the suffering, complications, and exhausting months in the hospital, we were hit with a devastating statement during her rehab:

</div>

<div>“Send her to a care home. There’s no point. She won’t live much longer. We can’t do anything for her. We need the beds.” Unimaginable for us.

</div>

<div>Our mom is still a person – even if she is now trapped in a severely impaired body, she is a human being with feelings – and above all, dignity. Just like any one of us!

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>So for us, it was clear: Mom belongs at home, with her family and we made it happen. Patricia was officially given care level 5, the highest level of care in Germany – not only granting her the right to medical care, but making it absolutely essential for her survival.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>We transformed our living room into a care room – with all our effort, love, and a dedicated team of certified intensive care nurses. For more than three years now, Patricia has been living at home – professionally taken care of and much loved. She’s doing better. She’s finally home. And she’s able to live a life with more dignity.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><strong>What is her condition today?</strong>

</div>

<div>Patricia is ventilator-dependent. She breathes through a tracheostomy and is fed artificially. Her airways must be suctioned regularly – otherwise, she faces the risk of suffocating.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>She depends on 24-hour intensive care. Advanced monitoring devices track her heart rate, oxygen levels, and breathing – so medical staff can react immediately in an emergency.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Without this network of medical care, technical equipment, therapy, and human connection, Patricia would not be alive today. And without it, she could make no further progress. Yet she continues to show us her incredible will to live. She still can’t speak, but she reacts emotionally. She can now move her left arm slightly – and sometimes even gives us an incredibly sweet smile. Please help us keep that smile alive – and one day turn it into laughter again.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><strong>And now? What happened?</strong>

</div>

<div>For the past few years, Patricia’s international health insurance covered the cost of this essential care – as is rightfully required by law in Germany, especially in cases as severe as hers.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>But now, completely out of the blue and without any clear explanation, we received a letter on June 24 stating:

</div>

<div><strong>As of July 1. 2025, all payments will be stopped.</strong>

</div>

<div>We were given one week notice.

</div>

<div>No transition period. No solution. No empathy. No humanity. No legal basis. Nothing.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>We were speechless, shocked, and devastated. Even Patricia’s physician and our care provider have never seen anything like this.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Everyone reacts the same way: “This can’t be real. This is not allowed. This is inhumane.” But the insurance company – which pretends to have never even heard of Germany’s care levels – has decided otherwise. They know full well that their decision will result in our mother’s death, but still they are choosing to cut costs for the sake of the humanitarian organization behind them.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><strong>What does that mean?</strong>

</div>

<div>It means we would now have to suddenly pay tens of thousands of euros per month to keep our mom alive. And we simply can’t.

</div>

<div>We are a small family – and this is far beyond our means.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Of course, we are fighting – legally, organizationally, with everything we’ve got. But that takes time. And we don’t have time.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><strong>That’s why we are reaching out to you with all our hearts.</strong>

</div>

<div><strong>Please, help us keep our mom alive.</strong>

</div>

<div>Help us cover her care over the next few weeks – so she can remain in the only place where she is safe: At home. With us. With love.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><strong>If her care ends on July 1, Patricia will pass away just days later.</strong>

</div>

<div><strong>It sounds harsh and unbelievable – but sadly, it’s the truth.</strong>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>We are desperate, and we’re turning to the world.

</div>

<div>Everyone out there can make a difference. Every donation helps. Every euro counts.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Thank you for taking the time to read.

</div>

<div>Thank you for sharing, caring, and helping.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>You are helping to save a human life.

</div>

<div>With all our love and gratitude,

</div>

<div>Patricia, Thomas, Kristina, Niklas, Lea, and Siem
