<div>ich bin Filmon Tewolde, der Onkel von Hiyab. Ich schreibe diesen Spendenaufruf für meine Nichte und ihre Eltern, weil sie mich darum gebeten haben, ihnen zu helfen.

<div>Hiyab ist erst 8 Jahre alt. Vor kurzem wurde bei ihr ein bösartiger Hirntumor festgestellt. Für uns als Familie war diese Nachricht ein großer Schock und plötzlich war nichts mehr so wie vorher.

<div>Zum Glück konnte Hiyab in Deutschland operiert werden. Der Tumor konnte dabei weitgehend entfernt werden. Wir sind der Ärztin und dem ganzen Team sehr dankbar, dass sie Hiyab geholfen haben.

<div>Leider ist die Behandlung damit noch nicht vorbei.
</div>
<div>Hiyab braucht jetzt dringend Bestrahlung und Chemotherapie. Die Ärzte möchten mit der weiteren Behandlung so schnell wie möglich beginnen.

<div>Das große Problem sind die Kosten. Für die weitere Behandlung werden über 110.000 € benötigt. Ihre Eltern können diese Summe nicht alleine bezahlen. Deshalb haben wir uns entschieden, hier um Hilfe zu bitten.

<div>Es fällt uns nicht leicht, so öffentlich über unsere Situation zu sprechen. Aber im Moment wissen wir einfach keinen anderen Weg.

<div>Hiyab hat starke Kopfschmerzen und kann oft kaum schlafen. Als Familie macht es uns große Angst zu wissen, dass sie die Behandlung braucht und gleichzeitig die Zeit vergeht.

<div>Sie möchte wieder zur Schule gehen, mit ihren Freunden spielen, lachen und einfach ein normales Kind sein. Wenn man sie so im Krankenhaus liegen sieht, wünscht man sich eigentlich nur eines: dass sie wieder gesund wird.

<div>Deshalb bitte ich euch von Herzen: Wenn ihr könnt, helft Hiyab mit einer Spende.

<div>Es muss keine große Summe sein. Viele kleine Spenden können am Ende genauso viel bewirken.

<div>We are asking you from the bottom of our hearts: Please help us save the life of our 8-year-old daughter, Hiyab.
</div>

<div>Our lives changed completely in an instant when Hiyab was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor.
</div>

<div>There is almost nothing more frightening for a family than hearing that their child has cancer. Suddenly, everything becomes about fear, hope, doctors, hospitals and one desperate question:

<div>How can we save our child?

<div>Thankfully, Hiyab was able to undergo surgery here in Germany, performed by an incredible doctor and her dedicated medical team. The tumor was successfully and extensively removed, and we are deeply grateful for everything they have done for our little girl.

<div>But the surgery was only the beginning.
</div>

</div>
<div>Hiyab now urgently needs radiation therapy and chemotherapy. This treatment must begin as soon as possible to give her the best possible chance of fighting the disease and surviving.

<div>The cost of the necessary follow-up treatment is more than €110,000.
</div>

</div>
<div>This is an amount our family simply cannot afford.
</div>

<div>The hospital treating Hiyab has told us that they are no longer able to cover the costs of her further treatment.

<div>On top of this, Hiyab’s mother is already 32 weeks pregnant.
</div>

<div>Our family is overwhelmed. We are frightened, exhausted and desperately searching for a way forward.

<div>Because Hiyab cannot wait.

<div>She is already suffering from severe headaches and can barely sleep. Her radiation and chemotherapy need to begin as soon as possible.
