Bit Brigade Could Use Some Help

Donation protected
Hey guys, Luke from Bit Brigade speaking to you from Quarantine Zone: Athens, GA.

It should surprise none of you that Bit Brigade is basically out of a job for the foreseeable future. Our whole operation is about bringing people together in tiny rooms to sweat all over each other and rock out to classic video game music. While we still feel strongly about our mission, there hasn't been a time in our lives where we've been more of a risk to people's health. It sucks. It sucks a lot. It is, however, the truth. We can't do our job right now, even if we wanted to.

And I use the word "job" very seriously here.

Bit Brigade is moderately successful. We're not Radiohead, but we do well enough to justify putting most of our energy into this project and making sure we're the best version of us that we can be. As a result, over the last few years, most of us have seriously scaled back the amount of time we can give over to secondary jobs. Some people would say "day jobs," but a lot of us work on this band plenty while the sun is out. That leaves a very narrow range of professions that we can take advantage of to pay off a few of the remaining bills. Actually pretty much just the one...

Hey, guess what other job market is being absolutely decimated by COVID-19 right now? That's right! One that is ALSO focused largely around stuffing humans in tiny rooms full of surfaces to touch: the service industry.

That leaves most of us in the band out of every source of income we have come to rely on for the last few years. This upcoming spring tour was going to financially carry me through most of the summer. Now, I'm not really sure what I'm gonna do. Neither are the rest of the guys. We're not homeless yet, but it's scary. Time has never felt like such a threat.

We don't want to start a Patreon. We're not going to have you pay a monthly subscription fee for our grocery bills. We don't even really have any ideas of what we could do for rewards, anyway, so we're also not doing a Kickstarter. If you want some Bit Brigade stuff, PLEASE, by all means, head straight to our merch page here...

...and have us ship you some Quality Nerd Product. It would help us tremendously.

But, if you already have anything you'd want from us...
if you are still gainfully employed and don't have to worry about where your next paycheck is coming from...
if you want to see us able to get back out on the road and play some shows for you when this is all over...
consider donating to this fundraiser.

There's no way we can raise enough money to make up for everything we're going to lose over the coming months, but every little bit would help us. If we can figure out how to get ourselves through the other side of this, we may be able to afford to keep rocking when all is said and done.

Thanks so much for your time. We love you. Be safe.
