<div>Beloved is a revolutionary new “by us for us” group perinatal care program in Oakland California, designed to honor and celebrate Black birthing people while preventing racism from harming our health in pregnancy and beyond. Launched at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and grounded in the birth justice movement, Beloved provides a holistic and comprehensive “Gold Package of Black Love”. As a powerful collaboration between Alameda Health System and the Alameda County Public Health Department; Beloved is transforming Black perinatal care from within our safety-net healthcare system.
