Birdies for SP! Please donate to support!

On January 6th 2019, Firefighter Steven Pollard tragically died in the line of duty attempting to help motorists involved in an accident on the Mill Basin bridge in Brooklyn. He made the ultimate sacrifice attempting to come to the aid of others in need as a member of the FDNY, something he wanted to be almost all his life. I met Steve when we were still in diapers and were close friends for as long as I can remember. He was everything you wanted in a friend; there when you needed him, fiercely loyal, generous and always a good time. Steve was not just  a friend but a brother. It will never get easy not having him around but it’s our job to celebrate and remember his life every chance we get. On June10th, I will be playing in the GNY Stars golf outing, a youth hockey organization that means so much to me and one that I was lucky enough to be a part of with Steve as a teammate for most of my childhood. There will be a hole sponsored in his memory  (pictures to follow the event)  and for every birdie my scramble foursome records, I will donate $50 (eagles = $100).  All donations will be split between The Firefighter Steven Pollard Memorial Foundation and Greater New York Stars organization. I'm hoping to get as many people as possible to match a birdie or donate as much as you can to support his memorial foundation and an amazing youth hockey organization.  Steve had a positive impact on so many others and we can only hope to do the same by giving back in his memory.  I appreciate everyone's generosity in advance and cheers to you SP!
