BIPOC Art Exhibit

Hey there! I'm Kiara Yakita, a local artist and activist. I had a vision and wanted to create a free exhibition opportunity for artists like myself who aren't yet in the spotlight. As an activist, I wanted to combine that passion with my artistic goals.

I've parnered with ZenCha Tea Salon in the Short North Arts District. We are going to exhibit artwork by BIPOC artists from October until December, then move into permanent exhibition opportunities for all.

I am curating this opportunity myself. The artists will be able to auction and sell their artwork and keep 100% of profits. I want them to benefit wholly from their passion and purpose. I am not charging them any fees to exhibit.
I am covering the costs for the exhibit, personally. Due to this being in a restaurant, I will need to use non damaging hanging tools such as command strips and hooks to install the pieces. Since I am the curator, this will be an out of pocket expense for me.

I am seeking to fundraise to assist with these costs, as I will need to purchase these items for 15+ artists, with at least 4 pieces of work for each. So this will be a pricy endeavour. As a single, college student living solo, I could use a helping hand with the costs to run this exhibit.
