Maxine is one of the sweetest dogs I know. She loves to meet new friends and is always up for an adventure! About a month ago we were in the off leash dog park. Max went off to sniff at some tall grasses and came running back towards me being chased by a coyote!! She was holding up her right hind leg, and with a sense of dread I knew she had ruptured her ACL. Her Veterinarian confirmed it :( We have been resting her and giving anti-inflammatories hoping that she could recover without surgery but it hasn't improved,making surgery the only option left.
She will be having a TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) this week and the estimate is for $3200-$3400 and she will require months of after care to heal.
Writing this has been very difficult and it pains me to ask for help. But any donation, no matter how small would be greatly appreciated.
