Biographee Alpha Trip

There are hundreds of nonprofits involved in the work of education, healthcare and community development. We can all agree that it’s this commitment to long-term change that is most important and impactful to communities.

However, they face a problem. There are an endless number of causes to support, all of which seemingly do the same thing. The ordinary work of long-term community development doesn’t necessarily lend itself well to heart-jolting photographs or clickbait titles. It’s difficult for these stories to get PR or make it to the trending page of YouTube.

Biographee helps create the voice for nonprofits to be heard. We view ourselves as ‘the nonprofits for nonprofits.’ Our first step after partnering with a nonprofit organization is to dive deep into the local community to identify the stories that deserve to be shared. We send members of our team to work with community leaders to better understand the organization and community on a local level. After we find the ground level stories, we find creators who  are passionate enough to get behind the organization and help craft the narrative around the story. Once we have connected nonprofits, creators, and potential brand donors/grants/awards, we are then able to facilitate community projects. We may also partner with influencers to raise funds for projects.

Each project is based around at least one positive change we can bring to the community. For example, one of our first projects is going to be bringing a well to a developing area. It’s a week full of integration, impact, and raw life changing experiences. Our community projects visually demonstrates the power of social influence on a human level. Often times, there is a disconnect between a donation and how it trickle downs into an organization. Our community projects are a direct reflection or how donations are being used, from a human level perspective.

This campaign will help us fund our first project. We are heading to India, October 20th, 2018. Any donations will help aid on the ground support in Kerala,  and add to our production efforts.
