<div>Sadly, between 60 and 90% of systems in Africa have stopped working and the owners have resorted back to smoky, traditional cooking methods of burning firewood, charcoal, or cow dung. Developmental aid and carbon projects, which have installed most of the biogas systems in the region, have ended without leaving repair and maintenance networks to continue the work.

<div>At BiogasUnite, we seek to resolve the problem by bringing theses existing systems back to life. With a digital platform we will connect biogas system owners (users) with biogas technicians for fast and efficient troubleshooting and repair. The platform will also embed a business model which allows biogas users to earn as they cook.

Entwicklungsprojekte und CO2-Kompensationsprojekte, die den Großteil dieser Biogasanlagen installiert haben, scheitern häufig daran, langfristige Reparatur- und Wartungsnetzwerke aufzubauen.

Darüber hinaus wird die Plattform ein Geschäftsmodell integrieren, das es den Nutzern ermöglicht, beim Kochen sogar Geld zu verdienen.

Biogas bietet vor allem in ländlichen Regionen Afrikas eine nachhaltige Alternative zu Holz und Holzkohle, schützt damit Wälder vor Abholzung und reduziert gesundheitsschädlichen Rauch in Haushalten. Gleichzeitig schafft es wirtschaftliche Möglichkeiten, da Abfälle zu wertvollen Ressourcen werden.
