Bingham & Lewis Fire Help

Like thousands of others in our town of Paradise, our homes were lost to fire.  We had only a few minutes to escape with what items we could carry.  Even leaving right away - as soon as we received the evacuation order - we barely made it out with our lives.  Many people were not able to get out and we feel that loss deeply.   We know how lucky we are to be safe.     

It's overwhelming to try to "move forward" and figure out what to do first;  then what to do next.  Figuring out the longer term plan will have to happen when we have more information.  Dan and Lorna also lost their store and all of their merchandise.  The loss includes Dan's lifelong collection of one-of-a-kind and rare records - also a source of their regular income.  

It feels strange and foreign to be a disaster refugee - homeless.  It feels even more strange to accept help for things we have always been able to provide for ourselves.  We know that there will be some assistance from aid agencies and probably our insurance, but for right now we are not sure what or when that will be.  That being said, we know our friends and family want to help and have asked us to establish this gofundme page.
