Please Help Me......
On May 26, 2010, A couple of days before my 35th birthday I was working on the side of a pillar, about 20ft high installing vinyl graphics when the ladder kicked out and started sliding to the left as I fell to the right, hitting the ground and completely breaking my lower back. The crushed bone in my back severed my lower part of my spine, leaving me paralyzed, a paraplegic. I was rushed to the hospital and had emergency surgery on my lower back, fused bones, and screws. A year after that I was put back into the hospital for a stage 5 pressure sore on my right sacrum, because of the wrong cushion in my wheelchair. I was admitted to a short term assisted living facility for 7 months, I missed my kids for those months. While in that facility, I had 60 sessions of the Hyper Baric chamber, to heal the bone infection from the pressure sore before they proceed with the surgery on my sacrum. Because of that surgery, they needed to give me a colonoscopy which was another surgery on my stomach, because the surgery on my sacrum kept me from using the bathroom until it healed. Between 2012 & 2013 I had the colonoscopy reversed, it was a surgery that gave me pain in my stomach worse than the original surgery, it eventually went away. Since my accident in 2010, I have this bad pain running through both my legs from my lower back down to my feet. It is all kinds of pain, like pins and needles, burning, electricity or shock, my bones ache, and the best thing for me is to get off my wheelchair to take the pressure off my lower back, but I do have kids, so that is hard for me to do, they need me to function as a dad who could cook, provide, play, and help them with anything a dad could do, that's a hard task from my bed. My wheelchair is 10 years old and I'm in need of a new one, my doctor thinks that would help me a little with the pain, and I don't have the insurance to pay for it. I don't work yet because of my pain and a couple of other medical tasks I do in the morning. I am asking for your help to pay for a new wheelchair to keep me going in my life, and for my kids.
