Billy's Traumatic Brain Injury Fund

Billy Holmberg was riding his skateboard on Tuesday December 9th and swerved to miss a car and fell off his skateboard and hit his head really hard, unfortunately he was not wearing a helmet! He went into a seizure and his friend called 911 and was taken by ambulance to the hospital where he was taken into emergency surgery to relieve the swelling on his brain. They removed part of his skull to drain the fluids and stitched him back up, leaving the piece out as to allow it to swell outward instead of inward which would cause serious damage to the brain.
After being in recovery for a couple hours they did a catscan and discovered that he was bleeding on the other side of his brain so they went back into surgery to remove the fluids.
Surviving both surgeries he was taken to ICU where he stayed until he was stable and then dropped down to CCU.

After 1 week he was transferred to a rehab hospital where he stayed another week and was finally released 12/23, in time to be home for Christmas!

Billy has a traumatic brain injury which affects many aspects of his life...most of which is his memory and he will have to relearn a lot of the basic things and have a longer recovery. He has been accepted into a Traumatic Brain Injury Program down in San Diego which he will start after the first of the year so that he will be able to recover fully and be able to live on his own, drive, work, etc. In the mean time he is living back at home with his family where he is getting the care and supervision he needs! 

Billy has incurred a lot of medical expenses not covered by insurance or has a co-pay and will continue to do so as well as his regular life expenses and will not be able to return to work for some time so I am imploring everyone to please help him out.....even if only a few dollars so we can relieve him of the pressure and worry of finances so he can focus fully on his recovery!
