Perfect Storm
Between this Covid 19 stuff and my partner of 14 years in her final battle with stage 4 CANCER....
We are put in a spot that we never saw coming. We always knew it was going to be a when and not a if , that some day the cancer was going to win the battle. But until that day we were going to have a great life and we have !
All our lives we have been there to help anyone out that we could that needed a hand "even strangers"
Well this is one of the hardest things I've ever had to do and that is asking for HELP for Bea and myself..
Back in March when this Covid was just getting started I had to make the choice of not going into work to my job of 9 years as an over the road trucker.
I COULD NOT TAKE THE CHANCE OF BEING EXPOSED TO COVID AND BRINGING IT INTO MY HOME WITH MY GIRL ALREADY HAVING A COMPROMISED IMMUNE SYSTEM AND IN THE FIGHT FOR HER LIFE...
We were living a pretty good life together, she has battled cancer other times and it has gone back into remission in the past. But now there is no more treatments available and we are just trying to keep her as comfortable as possible while under hospice care at home.
I DO PLAN ON STAYING WITH HER AND BY HER SIDE TO THE END!!
My company is very understanding and I do have job to go back to when this is done. At first I was getting help from a family leave act, than that ran out after 12 weeks and that was only about 1/2 to 3/4 of what I would of taken home each week had I worked. That ran out in June and I have been denied unemployment because they say I am now out on a VOLUNTARY LEAVE and that does not allow me to get help.
With all living expenses of about $3000. a month and making final arrangements for my girl the $10,000. that we had saved up for emergency funds is almost gone. I do not know what we will do next month to make ends meet
We have cut back on different things and have stuff up for sale.
But I fear it is not going to be enough.
SO IT IS WITH A VERY HEAVY HEART THAT I AM ASKING FOR
HELP
The help that I would get , would be going to keeping our monthly Bill's paid on time :
Mortgage
Electric
Phone
Food
Gas
Basically stuff to keep the household running.
Would also try to put something aside for my girls cremation and burial
No matter how small or large any help would be greatly appreciated to help us through this hard time.
