Billy Bucks for Billy Talbot

On December 24, 2015 Billy fell down the stairs at his house and broke his hip.  What should have been an easy hip replacement has turned into something that no person should have to deal with. Since that date Billy has been in at least 12 different hospitals and rehabs and has had no fewer than 15 surgeries on his broken hip.  Unfortunately, none of those surgeries have been 100% successful and as a result of this it is now 3 years later and Billy remains hospitalized and unable to walk. 

Needless to say this has caused quite a financial burden on Ellie who is doing what she can to keep her household going but unfortunately the time has come that she can no longer do it on her own.  They live in a second floor apartment and when Billy comes home he will need a stairlift to get up and down the stairs and a scooter to get around. His insurance has refused to pay for any of this.  They need our help. 

For years Billy has attended so many fundraisers for others and given what he can.  He is always the first one to ask “what can I do to help” and follow through with that help.  And being the man he is Billy has never asked for anything or expected anything in return.   Now we need to do for him in his time of need.  Let’s get Billy a stair lift and scooter and get him back his life.  It will enable him to leave the house without having to call an ambulance service and schedule an appointment, take a ride with Ellie to and see his grandkids and take some of the financial burden off of Ellie’s shoulders. Anything left over will be put towards his medical bills.  If there was ever a couple who deserved and needed a break it is these two.  For three years we have watched them deal with this and not once have they ever asked for anything other than our prayers.  Now they need a little bit more.
