Back Bill & Team! Kintyre Way 100mile challenge
In typical Bill Goldie style, he has set himself the humongous challenge in taking on the Kintyre Way. A 100mile walk through undulating terrain in the West of Scotland, it definitely is not for the faint hearted. Joined by sister Karen McIntyre, Mark Padbury and Tony Mott, they will be looking at taking on this challenge at the end of May, when the weather will be at its best- Mild snow probably.
Motivating the team through the hard yards will be the knowledge that every single penny raised will go towards the MEF2C foundation. This is a charity that has been set up to drive forward research and treatments for a very rare disease called MEF2C Haploinsufficiency syndrome of which Clementine, our daughter, is one of only 300 diagnosed globally.
Clementine (or Clemmie) is a happy, bright and fearless 4 year old who will never stop trying. She brings love and joy to our lives each day.
Albeit this is super rare and the Foundation has only been set up relatively recently, we know this can essentially be ‘treated’ with the latest biotech techniques. With a road map now laid out - what the foundation needs now is ££££ to make this happen.
If you are in a position to be able to support Bill, Karen, Mark and Tony and this groundbreaking charity you really will be supporting us in making a difference.
