Bill's continuous glucose monitor

Donation protected
$1304 For Continuous Blood Glucose Monitoring

Bill has had type 1 diabetes since he was 12 years old. Five years ago he had to have his right leg amputated because of the diabetes. He may have to have his left leg amputated as well.

This is because his blood glucose levels are so unpredictable. Sometimes they go as low as 20 causing him to have a seizure. Other times they go as high as 600 causing the complications that lead to amputation.

These unpredictable glucose levels can go from one extreme to the other in the same day, which was documented multiple times during his latest stay in the hospital.

The solution is continuous monitoring. It is a probe under the skin which checks the blood sugar every 5 minutes, day and night, and warns of both high and low conditions. It's a marvelous technology, but it is very expensive. Even with insurance, it costs over a thousand dollars.

We are reaching out to family, friends and concerned citizens everywhere for financial assistance. If you don't feel like you can afford to help with a donation, please share this request with someone you feel can help.

Thank you.
