Billie's Real Life Fight

Our sister, Billie Jo Bullington was diagnosed with Stage 3 Colon Cancer on September 28, 2017.  Billie is a single mother of 5 beautiful children, Devin 19, Darren 14, Lily 10, Cody 9, and Alivia 5.  Billie is currently on her 7th round of Chemotherapy and has an estimated 5 more to go.  As a proud and hardworking individual, Billie was hoping to not have to ask for help. However, having to take 4 days off from work every 2 weeks to travel 1800 miles, roundtrip, to receive extensive treatment she is starting to feel more than just the physical effects.

Billie’s fight began with a routine checkup that ended all, but routine. Within 24 hours she was in surgery having a significant portion of her colon removed leading to her diagnosis. Her treatment has been aggressive from the beginning. Through it all she has been able to remain positive and ready to fight anything that comes her way, including mental, physical, and financial strain. Adding to Billie’s struggle is the often-forgotten struggle of her very young children, their curiosity explodes while watching their mother’s daily battles.

 Although Billie’s insurance is quite good and has covered a large portion of the bill, there is still a large portion that does not get covered. The outstanding copay for her nausea medication alone is $400.00, not to mention the cost of travel.  We stand along side our sister and are extramily humbled and thankful for any donation you may find in your heart to donate to help her in this real life fight.
