Billie Coleman-Harvey Repairs

When Hurricane Harvey hit southeast Texas it caused unbelievable devastation from Corpus Christi to Beaumont. After moving inland, Harvey stalled. Houston and the surrounding communities were on the "dirty" side of the hurricane and took the brunt of Harvey's wrath....unprecedented flooding.
My mom is Billie Coleman and lives Huffman, Texas not far from Lake Houston. This land has been in my family for 40+ years and has never had standing water. Hurricane Harvey put 3-4 feet of water in her house. She was able to get out with the clothes she was wearing, her purse, and her car. We have spent 3 days pulling out her entire life and putting it in piles around her yard...along with 5 feet of sheetrock from every wall, flooring, cabinets, doors, and sinks. Along with material possessions, she lost albums of family photos and keepsakes from my dad (who passed 20 years ago).
Originally she was under the impression that she had flood insurance, but was mistaken...her policy does not cover flooding. Her place of work has also been badly damaged so she's having to take time off, as well.
