Bill Tuman's Long Ride

Bill Tuman, 1953 Grand National Champion, a member of the original Indian Wrecking Crew has reached the point of no return. He is 96 years old and has lived a good life. Since January, he has been in a couple sub standard nursing homes and has been plagued with numerous infections due to neglect of the medical staff. They would not listen to the family when we noticed things were not right and he had to be hospitalized 3 different times for UTI's , Blood infections and C-diff. Medicaid was denied 3 times so the bills piled up. Now the stress and strain of the treatment has taken it's toll, his heart and kidneys are failing. Since his condition seems to be irreversible, he will be put into Hospice care. The choices are limited due to Medicare and Medicaid so with some financial help, we can make his end of life a more comfortable experience.
