March 2017 Bill was still not feeling well and went to his primary care physician. The doctors ordered a CT scan and found a mass in his lungs. A biopsy of the lung was ordered.
April 2017 The biopsy results came back and Bill was diagnosed with Stage 2 Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer.
Bill's physicians ordered a PET scan and found an Abdominal Aorta Aneurysm. Bill's Lung Cancer treatment had to be placed on hold for the doctors to remove the Anuerysm from his abdomen.
August 2017, while waiting to heal from the abdominal surgery, and waiting for insurance approval to begin the cancer treatments, Bill's cancer has now increased to a Stage 3 Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer.
Bill is now at a critical stage with his cancer treatment and financial help. We are praying and asking for your help too.
Bill's treatment consists of Radiation treatment each day for 5 weeks and Chemotherapy treatment each week for 5 weeks. Bill will have a two week break then will need treatment the same as above for 2 weeks. Insurance co-pays for Bill's Radiation treatments are an astonishing $60 per day for each treatment + 20% of the Chemotherapy per day per treatment.
The vehicle the family owns is old and unreliable. The family (Bill's wife, Elaine, is his caretaker) will need to rent a vehicle for a minimum of 8 weeks (over 40+ miles daily) to travel for the daily Radiation treatments and weekly Chemotherapy.
Bill starts his treatments this week August 14th!! We are praying that the treatment will help shrink the tumors so the cancer will become dormant.
Please help Bill with prayer and if you are able financially too through this Go Fund Me page.
An update will be provided during this first week of Bill's Radiation and Chemotherapy.
Thank you and God Bless!
