William Peter “Bill” Glover, age 62 years, of Braintree, formerly of Brockton died at home, unexpectedly on Saturday, March 17, 2018.  For the past 22 years, Bill was the beloved partner of Peter Anthony Carey of Randolph.  Additional mourners include Claire Carey & the late Patrick F. Carey, Sr., Elaine & Carl Strout, Patrick F. Jr. & Maureen Carey and Paul Carey.

Born in Boston, he was the cherished son of the late William O. & Mary (Lussier) Glover and was the dear brother of Janet Hutchinson, Mary Shea, Diane Beek, Shannon Grebauski, Nancy Skippar, Sandra Roukas and the late Patti Ahrend and Judy Ames.

Bill shared a very special and loving bond with his cherished niece, Alissa A. Carey, and was thought of fondly by many additional nieces and nephews.

Known for his keen eye, sense of style, and flair for interior design, Bill was a highly sought after painter extraordinaire.  For many years, he transformed homes that were once dull and drab, turning them into places that families were proud to show off.  He found heartfelt joy when seeing the look of happiness on his client’s faces as they saw his handiwork for the first time.

His care and compassion extended beyond all of the people in his live to his feline companions, Winston and Miss Havisham.  When not doting on their every need, Bill enjoyed tending to his garden, day-tripping, Schooner cruising the coast of Maine, and trash TV.

A memorial service to celebrate the love that was Bill will be held on Saturday, March 31, beginning at 10am in the United First Parish Church, 1306 Hancock St, Quincy.

While honoring Bill’s thirst for knowledge, education, and exploration, those he loved would like to make his dream a reality for his niece by establishing the “Bill Glover Education Endowment” in his honor.

In Bill's honor,  please consider a donation to the endowment.
