This last July my dad was severely injured in a car crash where he was t-boned at high speed by a reckless driver under the influence. He suffered a badly broken neck with severe spinal cord damage. He was flown to Sioux Falls where he underwent several successful surgeries to stabilize and repair his neck. Following the surgeries it was discovered that there was severe deficit with his motor function in all extremities. He underwent a couple of weeks of therapy while recovering from the surgeries in Sioux Falls, and was then transferred to Madonna Rehabilitation and Specialty Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska. He has since continued to show improvement in regaining motor control and nerve function. He will, however, require continued therapy for many months into years. In addition he will require a specialized wheelchair vehicle for transport along with house modifications to accommodate his eventual return home. I am starting this fundraiser in an effort to assist in offsetting the associated costs my parents will be undergoing and have undergone already. Please consider a donation to help out.
