Biking To Make A Difference
Donation protected
Teo began growing his love for biking before he was two years old. Bike rides around the neighborhood on his Radio Flyer tricycle quickly turned into longer distance rides to a friends house using his bike with training wheels. Fast forward to the age of four, Teo no longer needed training wheels; he was off.
Last summer, of 2019, Teo worked up the stamina to ride his bike for a total of five miles. As he watched his father train for his first marathon and for his first century ride, Teo began developing goals of his own. In the spring of 2020, Teo decided his goal for the summer would be to ride his bike for ten miles.
The current pandemic, Covid19, has kept us home and blessed us with ample opportunities to get outside and exercise. On our first family bike ride, Teo rode his bike for a consecutive seven miles; his first long ride of the season and he has already to made it to seven! His goal of ten is very close, and he is aiming to go further.
Recently, Teo was inspired by his Pastor, Dave Bochtler, to go out into the world and 'be a helper'-- especially in times like these. To be a helper, Teo is looking to raise money as he works toward his new goal of biking fifteen miles. He wants to donate all that he raises to our church, Grace Community Church of Auburn, Maine in an effort to support those impacted by Covid19. Our church works hard to make a difference in the lives of others. For the next month, Teo will be working toward reaching his goal and donating all proceeds to help lift up those who need it most. Thank you, in advance, for supporting Teo. The Dunham Family appreciates you!
