Biking for the Community Project: Ethiopia
Tax deductible
Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money by bicycling from Jacksonville, FL to Austin, TX (a total of about 1,300 miles) to benefit Community Project: Ethiopia, and any donation will help make an impact toward building a school in a community that lacks it. I'm asking to be sponsored 10 cents for each mile I ride. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause.
More information about Community Project: The Community Project is building a community driven K-8 school with vegetable gardens, orchards, its own brick producing workshop, bamboo propagation nursery and community facilities for 1000 children and their families in Debre Birhan, Ethiopia. We work in partnership with the community, the local government, Debre Birhan University, Debre Birhan Polytechnic College, 3 Engineers Without Borders teams, Architects Without Borders, and the Ethiopian Mission at the United Nations. Our work is to empower the community with support for better education, sanitation, and economic development for their families.
