Swim the Big Blue for Beyond Blue

Hi Friends, 

I am swimming solo across the big blue to raise money for Beyond Blue. 

Not long ago I got a slight drowning sensation after swimming 100m, that said, I am going to try and swim a 20km solo to that far away island, Rottnest. 

Depression has deeply affected many of my family and friends over the years and even taken the life of my dear friend and housemate. 

I never really fell like I can help people suffering with this mental illness and that sort of  helplessness feeling has resulted in my realisation that depression is an absolute bitch of a black dog that requires the minds of much more than me. 

So I thought, why not tackle some rough waters myself to raise some money for an organisation that does so much for not only my loved ones, but for all those who need it.
