Big World Small Sasha- the book

Hello everyone :) I’m Sasha, I’ve been traveling around the world for over a decade with very little money and no consistent job or career. I never asked for any kind of support in the past because I always found ways to make money whenever and wherever I needed it. I usually work any odd job when I run out of money, save as much as possible as quickly as possible, quit the job, then travel around the world until I run out of savings again. Then I repeat the cycle, keeping in mind that I’m just playing the “job game”  whenever I’m not traveling :).

The last time I played the “job game” was two and a half years ago, when I worked as a waitress in a restaurant on Hawaii. I quit in March, 2017 and have been living off of my savings ever since. Since quitting, I traveled around all of the accessible Hawaiian Islands and up the East Coast of the US, I took the Trans-Siberian Railway across Russia several times, hitchhiked through Mongolia, lived in a small village in Siberia and then hitchhiked from Moscow to Spain. I also (finally) decided to start a travel blog- www.bigworldsmallsasha.com . I started this blog because I got tired of people telling me that they “wish they could live like me, but they don’t have the money to do so.” I felt the need to explain that it wasn’t actually the money that was stopping them (because I rarely had much money at all), but culture, mentality and our society.

I spent most of the past 1.5 years writing, rather than traveling like I used to. I found a cheap place to live in Siberia and wrote over 50 blogs and 80,000 words of an autobiography (I thought that this would be the best way to really explain my lifestyle). I won’t make money off my blog because I don’t want to sell myself (or anything else)- I want this to be a trade-free  travel blog.

I will make a free electronic version of my book with photos and links (in a similar format to TROM books ), but I will also try to publish a hard copy. If you liked "Into the Wild", I think you would enjoy my book as well ;).

However, my book is only about 2/3 of the way done and now I’m down to the last bits of my savings from Hawaii; this means that I will probably be forced to return to the “job game” very soon and will have to put my book on hold.

If you would like to support my work, this would allow me continue to write and work on my project. The money would simply go to my living expenses (food and housing) so that I can have time and space to concentrate on my book. I would be very grateful for any help.

Thanks for reading :)
