Operation Help A Big Orange Cat
Donation protected
My sister accidentally trapped this big orange cat in an attempt to help an injured feral mama cat in the neighborhood (no luck with her, yet). He was in pretty rough shape and pretty pissy so we brought him into the local shelter as part of their trap, neuter, and release program. He was neutered there on 10/2 and spent the night in a cage in our garage and when it came time to release, he decided he’d rather stay in the cage. And then, out of nowhere, he turned into a friendly mush - he is definitely not feral like we thought. I’ve already got two rooms full of fosters and my personal cats on top of that so bringing him into the house is not an option at the moment, especially because I know nothing about his health other than that his ears and teeth are a total mess and he has old wounds that are mostly healed.
To make him as comfortable (and adoptable) as possible he needs to be seen and have dental work done by a proper vet. Since he’s in rough shape, I’m hoping to raise $500. Any money received will go to his vet bills and if there is any left over, it will be used to help other stray and feral cats in the neighborhood. Once he is fully evaluated and we have a better idea of what needs to be done, I will post the information and adjust the target accordingly.
He’ll stay in our garage for now and we will do our best to make sure he is comfortable, but I’m also hoping to find him either a foster parent or adopter with room indoors as soon as possible.
As always, thank you for your support!!
