Stand by Big John

Everyone needs a "Big John" in their life! John Harper Jr is the guy who is there for everyone at any time they need it. Now he needs us to be there for him.
John was injured in October 2017 when a motorcycle was falling over toward me. John tried to grab the bike so it would not hit me. The force of the bike falling pulled John to the ground and the bike fell on him, dislocating his shoulder over two inches out of socket. What did John do at this point? Got up, pick up the bike and push it back to the warehouse before stating, "I think I need to go to the hospital".
John was out of work for eight weeks to recover. During this time he went to Physical Therapy, volunteered at the Hillsborough Food Bank to feed local homeless people and participated in Love Hillsborough. Love Hillsborough is a non-profit organization assisting homeless people find shelter, food and socialization within the community.
John now has to have surgery to repair his shoulder as PT did not mend his tendons, he tore 3 of 4 that help hold the shoulder in place. John will be out of work recovering from the surgery for up to 6 - 8 months. He went through his savings the first time he was out of work paying for his housing, food, utilities and medicine.
There isn't a person Big John wouldn't help any time of any day. His life has been dedicated to helping others. He was a Search and Rescue Fire Fighter in western US. He volunteers and organizes functions to help the homeless. He is that guy that stops for you when you are broke down on the side of the road in the pouring rain. Fixes your car, tells you to have a good day, won't take any money from you and continues on home.
The money raised will go toward paying Johns rent, utilities, groceries, medications and medical bills. John would never do this for himself nor ask for this help of anyone. I just want to show him people can care about him as much as he cares and does for others.
