Dan Young's recovery fund

Dan Young, a beloved husband, father, friend and primary wage earner for a young family suffered a horrific accident mountain biking in St. George, Utah this weekend. Dan did a full momentum endo from his bike and landed directly on his head. He was life flighted out of the St. George desert in a concussed state with minimal recognition of his surroundings. He broke several ribs, fractured his spine, suffered a collapsed lung with heavy swelling in his face and back. He was in surgery through the night. Dan has been unable to move his legs since the crash, though there is hope movement will return. Dan will likely be in ICU through the week and will face a very long recovery regardless of how well the immediate medical procedures go. The cost of life flight, coupled with his prolonged stay under intensive medical care and extended recovery time will put Dan's young family of 5 under substantial financial stress. All contributions will be sent directly to Dan's wife, Charlene to be used to pay for Dan's medical expenses. A newspaper report covering the accident is linked below.
