Bibi needs our help!

Hi everyone. It's with a heavy heart that I write this. This past Thanksgiving, my little furball Bialy was attacked by a large animal. When she didn't come in from the yard, I went looking and found her on my back porch, in shock, bleeding, with her right hind leg just dangling. My worst nightmare was happening. We rushed her to the only emergency vet open on the holiday where they were able to stabilize her and kept her overnight for observation. Thankfully, she suffered no internal damage, but the injuries to her legs and tail we're severe. A complete dislocated ankle, a luxation in her tail, a deep laceration on her other hind leg and a few missing toes. She definitely put up a good fight! The leg and tail trauma is so extensive as to require reconstructive surgery, the cost of which reaches well beyond my means and still poses risks of failure. I'm left with the decision to amputate. Some might consider her a lost cause, a cat with three legs and no tail? But at only 4, she deserves to live out the rest of her life. Animals are so incredibly adaptable and given the chance, she can have the same happy life as before. I saved her once from a shelter and I have to try and save her again. We make promises to love, care for and keep safe these creatures we keep as pets. They depend on us for so much and only ask that we love them in return. This is the least I can do.Anyone who has ever had a significant bond with an animal might understand the position I find myself in now. Amputation is the most conservative approach but is still very costly. I have exhausted most of my resources at this point and so I am here, shamelessly asking for help. The asking amount is the lower end of the total surgery estimate and does not include emergency bills or medication thus far. Your support with cover the costs of blood work, surgery, pain medication, antibiotics and post-op care. My only wish is to help her become pain free and without surgery this isn't possible. As of now, she is unable to stand, walk or use the bathroom on her own. Still, she purrs in my hand and reaches her face to mine. With surgery, she will be able to return to her happy self. To know Bibi is to love her. She is the sweetest, chillest cat that gets along with everyone, especially my roommates dog Bowie. They miss each other, but hopefully soon they can get back to chasing each other around the house. I humbly ask you to consider giving whatever you are able to, so that we can help Bibi recover quickly and live pain free as a new little bobtail tripod cat! It will take some time for her to adjust but I have faith in her resiliency. Give your pets some extra love today, they deserve it! Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and Happy Holidays to everyone. All the best.
