<div>We are devastated in learning that our dear friend, Brad Michael, has been diagnosed with leukemia. The official name is B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia Philadelphia Positive. It has all happened very fast, and is an aggressive form of leukemia.

<div>He started Chemotherapy on 4/10 and

<div>will remain in the hospital for at least 3 weeks for his first round. He will have to be admitted to the hospital for each subsequent round of chemo (each lasting approximately 21 days). The current plan is 8 rounds of chemo in hopes of sending him into remission. If he does not reach remission, there is the possibility that he would need a bone marrow transplant. This would be done in conjunction with their teaching hospital in Oregon, OHSU.

<div>Brad is an engaging and positive human, always sharing a healthy dose of humor. His laughter is a gift from the universe.
</div>
<div>He is a father of two sweet girls, Alice (4) and Annie (2). He is very involved in their lives and is a constant source of light, love, and laughter for them. His wife, Lane, is a nurse and is also one of the most genuine and loving humans you’d ever meet. To come to know them is a privilege and an honor.
</div>

<div>They have a difficult fight ahead of them. In addition to the physical and mental hardships they will face, financial hardship is inevitable.
