Sofie's Medical Bills

This is Sofie "Boots" Freeman. We call her Boots because all four of her paws are white and the color makes it look like she is wearing boots.

Sofie is a 10 month old chihuahua from Roxbury by way of the South End in Massachusetts.

Sofie belongs to Jaida who is 9 and Johnny who is 6. Jaida has always wanted a dog and read lots of books on puppies to prepare for her arrival. Needless to say, Jaida has been very responsible with her new puppy. 

Unfortunately, while Jaida was away at a slumber party Sofie ran out of our grandmother's house and into the street. Jaida's Uncle Nate chased after Sofie, but understandably Sofie was very scared and ran out into traffic.

Sofie was hit by a car in Boston on July 12 on Tremont Street in the South End in front of Estelle's.

This little 5lb dog survived being hit by the car, can you believe it? We can, becuase she's a Freeman.

She was taken to MSPCA/Angell Memorial right away and it was concluded that she has several fractures in her pelvic area. The costs so far have exceeded $1800. There is an additional $4000 needed that will cover her surgery, medication, and vet stay.

MSPCA/Angell memorial has been doing an amazing job at keeping Sofie comfortable.

We are desperately asking for support to help get Sofie fixed up and home with Jaida as soon as possible.
