Hello, one and all!

The purpose of this fund is to help the parents of Master. Bharath Sugumar (Age:10) with recovery cost from his horrific accident at the swimming pool of his apartment recently



Bharath was a happy, friendly and cheerful kid who was enjoying his middle school at Rocky Hill, CT.

Bharath is the elder son of Sugumar Balasubramanian (employee of Cognizant Technology solutions) and Swarna Sugumar. He is also the elder brother of 5-year-old Kousik Sugumar who is in Kindergarten.

On Monday, July 30th 2018, Bharath endured a horrific swimming accident at his apartment. He was quickly given first aid and taken to the emergency of the Connecticut Children’s hospital (Hartford). He was in ICU for more than 10 days with internal brain injury due to oxygen depletion and excessive water content in the brain.

He is currently out of ICU and moved from Connecticut Children’s to New Britain hospital for Special care on Sep 6th 2018. He is currently out of danger to life but unconscious, bedridden and recovering from Sympathetic Storming after traumatic Brain Injury. He needs utmost care with daily physical, occupational and speech therapy. Doctors and Bharath’s family do not know how many months it would take for him to gain consciousness and start his life slowly.

For the past few months, Sugumar and his family were in deep sorrow and is hoping to have Bharath back to normal soon. The funds of this campaign will go towards:

Uncovered hospital / medical bills

Medical supplies

Moving expenses

Medications

Physical, Occupational and speech therapy

Rehabilitation services

Nurse care

and any other expenses to help out the Bharath’s family
