Ecuador Earthquake Relief

As many of you know an earthquake rocked the coast of Ecuador Saturday night. The numbers continue to rise but currently there has been reported over 1,500 injures and 248 deaths. For the survivors, their concrete block, one bedroom homes have been destroyed.
The people in the villages on the coast have so little as it is and will never be able to afford to repair their homes. The children and families are currently living in the streets and have no where to go. Helping Hands Across Ecuador is an Ecuadorian ministry focused on community development and church planting in Curia, Ecuador, a small village on the coast. Carlos (pictured above in white shirt) and Jeanette Gurrero are working to rebuild the houses and bring hope to the now homeless community. My wife Hannah and I met Carlos and Jeanette on a short term mission trip to Ecuador through our church in Savannah, GA. Seeing the needs of the people and so much oppurtunity to serve changed our lives. We will be moving to this village next year through Team Expansion to work alongside Helping Hands Across Ecuador full time. Carlos and Jeanette's ministry is amazing and their sole concern is the needs of their people both spiritually and physically. And right now there is tremendous need.
There are 14 homes in need of major repair. Helping Hands across Ecuador estimates they can repair the homes of this community for $10,000. Your gifts will be used to buy materials and supplies such as concrete blocks, cement, sand, gravel, and rebar to rebuild the houses. Your donations will also create employment oppurtunites for the unemployed in the area by funding costs of labor.
Helping Hands across Ecuador is a 5013c Non Profit organization registered both in Ecuador and here in th U.S. All checks made out to Helping Hands Across Ecuador and mailed to the address below will be tax deductible.
