Greg Ireland Support Fund

I have never visited one of these sites before. But necessity brings me here.  I am writing on behalf of my brother in law, Gregory Ireland. He and my brother have been together one year short of 20 years and the last 8 years they have suffered many tragedies. They moved to Vermont in 2006 with the promise from my brothers work place to work from home when they decided to move to Vermont to expand the company with the company's blessing. They sold their home in Flagstaff and purchased one in Vermont for the new office. 2 weeks before the move to Vermont the company pulled the job away and they were left with the only choice to move since they had already sold their home in Flagstaff and had already purchased a new home in Vermont. This left them without any medical insurance or wages. They struggled for six years trying to find jobs and almost lost their house several times and were not able to eat sometimes or pay bills. In 2012 after being out of work for 2 years they decided to cut their losses and move back to the southwest. They leased the house in Vermont to someone and that turned out to be a nightmare. They took her to court for lack of paying rent. They prevailed, but from their award they only receive 50 dollars a month for the next 7 years. With the house now in foreclosure they now live in Dolores Colorado where they just got their footing down. On July 8 2014, 2 days before they were to upgrade their living situation, Greg had an accident and plummeted off a turnoff embankment cliff at Mesa Verde Valley National Park. It was 8 thousand feet up with a 75% grade. Into the canyon he went 700 feet down. he stopped 15 feet from a wall of boulders... He is alive... But he broke his back and is looking at least a year recovery. Their only car was totaled. They do not have a way to get to the spinal specialist for surgery, get to a food market, and physical therapy. They deserve a break... A car would be of the greatest need. They had just started a better life and were to move on July 12 2014. They are forced to stay at their place for another week which is going to cost them more money. They are new to the area so finding help to move will be difficult. They are both on SSDI and on a very tight income. I am asking anyone and everyone to help donate for their cause. They are upstanding gentleman and so very giving to those in need. If they could get $12,000 for the purchase of a used car, the cost of the move, gas money and groceries,it would give them positive energies to help them gain strength and reduce stress to get back on their feet. It would be a way to get them standing again. The emergency room and a helicopter emergency vac to the hospital will not be cheap. Any amount would be helping them in ways not yet imaginable as medical bills will soon be coming in. I know and understand that many people have it much, much, much worse. I understand that. But right now it is my brother in law that has it bad. please help if you can! Any contribution that you can make, no matter how big or small, will be Graciously appreicated.

Thank you for your time.

Be sure to cherish and love your family friends and those around you that really matter. They could be gone in a second. After a silly fight or argument you will never have had the chance to tell him how much you love them.
