To Write Love On Her Arms is a non profit movement dedicated to spreading hope and finding help for those suffering with depression, addiction, self-injury, suicide, eating disorders, anxiety, and other mental health issues. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire, and invest directly into treatment and recovery.
I have been one of the selected few to embark on this fall journey of hope and healing for the movement of To Write Love On Her Arms. I remember years ago, when I was crushed and lost within my own life, and it seemed I had no light to look towards. I clung to every word TWLOHA spoke, and with their inspiration, advice, and motivational words, I found the path to take control of my own life.
I have been one of the selected few to embark on this fall journey of hope and healing for the movement of To Write Love On Her Arms. I remember years ago, when I was crushed and lost within my own life, and it seemed I had no light to look towards. I clung to every word TWLOHA spoke, and with their inspiration, advice, and motivational words, I found the path to take control of my own life.
Your struggles do not define you. Your story is important. Hope is real. Help is real. We are stories still going.
This is an incredible opportunity that I feel blessed to have received. My days will be spent responding to the stories of those who have known struggle, those seaking help, or friends needing advice to challenge tough issues. I can not wait to be a part of that light for someone who is in need of it.
However, this is an unpaid internship. The work we do is out of the gernerosity of our hearts, something that can never have a price tag put on it. But since we live in the real world, money seems to get in the way and be more of an issue.
So I am reaching my heart out and seeking assistance for this journey of mine. My goal is to raise enough money to cover my housing expenses. I will be living with the other interns of the season from late August to mid December and we will be building our community to work as a team and be as one in this battle for hope and healing.
Any generosity will be greatly appreciated, and someday I hope/promise to repay it or pay it forward in various supporting ways.
