Puerto Rico needs help!
There is only about 20% of the electricity restored in the entire island, and it is unstable, and lack of water in many places. Although there is optimism, people are emotionally drained and many disturbed from losing property and worse yet, love ones. Some of our customers are already opening for business. These few are trying to get back on business with power plants, within their workable areas, scheduling less hours per day, due to shortage of fuel for the generators and/or slower business. Some of them haven’t even been able to find/contact all their employees. Many are missing due to communication disruption or inaccessible roads to where they are.
People are getting sick and dying, particularly the elderly, people with medical special needs, people infected by contaminated water, dehydration, heat exhaustion, and unsafe living conditions.
Critical items needed which we have been sending:
Water – drinking water is essential. There are still many places without water and those with water may have it contaminated.
Camping gas stoves and propane small containers
Converters 12V to 120V
It’s slow. It’s sad. It’s devastated. But there is another side. There are many great stories: people working together, people going the extra mile to help others, humility is getting to many people and it’s opening many doors to real love. This is real! This part is truly inspiring and a wakeup call to what life is all about. I can see the hands of God working through many people. God is with us, and that is what really matters!
We thank you all for your prayers!
