A Book for Girls About Their Crown
Who am I? My name is Bethanie Glass. I am a wife, a mother of 2, a sister and a daughter. I am also an author that has finally mustered the courage to share my stories with the world by self publishing my first children's book.
What do I need? Your support. You can help with donations and spreading the word within your social and professional networks.
Like the saying goes “it takes a village to raise a child”. If you want to be part of something that was created with children and their struggles in mind, then my project is a way you can give back.
Why should you support this project? My mission is to spread the message of self-love and self acceptance for girls about the beauty and magic of their hair.
This book is for girls between the ages of 6-8 years old, however all girls could benefit from it. With all the negativity in this world that infiltrates the minds of our children through their environments, messages they get from the media, and by those they love and trust, it is critical for little girls and young women to get positive affirmations of their beauty and their potential. I believe my book can be one way to accomplish that.
Where is your donation going? Donations will go towards editing, production, and marketing. At launch, 100 books will printed and donated to local community organizations.
This campaign will run from March 27, 2018 to June 30, 2018.

Lastly, this book is dedicated to my brother Calex who passed away in 1992 at the age of 15. Though I was only 10 years old at the time, I made a commitment to myself that I would accomplish all that he didn’t have the opportunity to do.
