Family Crisis

Three months ago, my husband had an unplanned back surgery. Last week, he had a massive stroke which came from an infection due to the back surgery. He is still in ICU and not getting any better. They want to do more testing on his heart but he can’t breathe on his own so they’re unable to do that right now. For 20 years, he has always been the provider and I have been a stay at home mom. I have two teenage children, my daughter (who I homeschool) and my son. My husband is a very hard working, responsible man, he’s always gone to work even when he’s been very sick with the flu. He’s the best man I have ever known and he is also my best friend. He’s an awesome husband and dad. We are in dire need of money to help out with paying bills and buying groceries. After being off work ninety days, our medical bills are no longer covered by his employer. We now have to pay $1,800 a month for the medical insurance, so we sold our car to cover at least two months of medical insurance. He receives $279 a week for sickness and accident pay. This is our only income.  I don’t know how I’m going to buy groceries, pay the mortgage, pay the utilities, car insurance, etc, on that little bit of income. I don't know how long my husband will be in the hospital or how long he will be off work. One of my husband's co-workers told me about gofundme, and I had never heard of it.  I did not know what to put down for my money goal because I did not want to ask for too much.
