Chipo Ivy Chinokoro is a cheerful and energetic 9 year old girl, who sustained a spinal cord injury following a fall. Chipo has undergone spinal cord surgery, which has left her with a loss of sensation from the waist down. Chipo is strong willed and has maintained a positive attitude through this ordeal. Chipo's parents Diana and Harry Chinokoro have been working tirelessly in an effort to nurse this beautiful young soul to health. Fortunately, Mayo Clinic in Minneapolis, Minnesota have been gracious enough and have agreed to further evaluate Chipo to come up with the best course for treatment. Chipo will be required to travel from Lusaka, Zambia to Minneapolis for further evaluation and treatment. The cost for her treatment is estimated at $20,000. To help lessen the burden on Diana and Harry, we are appealing to family, friends, and any well-wishers to help bring Chipo to Mayo Clinic so she can receive treatment.
